The long weekend has just ended but I’m already thinking what to do on this first weekend in May. As usual lots of event all round Tuscany, so let’s see together a selection of the best events for the upcoming weekend.
Lots of food festival in Tuscany such as the Strawberries’ Festival in Terricciola near Pisa and the Spring Festival in Pietrasanta near Lucca at the Cantine Basile offering wine and food tastings and guided tours to the vineyards. In Certaldo you can taste great boar and grilled meat the the Wild Boar Festival, while in Borgo San Lorenzo you can taste great tortelli and grilled meat at the Tortelli Festival.
In Empoli and in Arezzo for the entire weekend takes place a large antiques and collectibles market, while in Cascina near Pisa the antiques market is on Sunday with more than 100 exhibitors. On Sunday you can also visit the antiques markets of Fiesole near Florence, Montepulciano in the stunning Valdorcia and San Giuliano Terme in the province of Pisa.
In Pienza you can admire beautiful flowers’ exhibits, while in San Polo in Chianti, a small village near Greve you can blend with locals and participate to the Iris Festival where you have good wine and food. Also in Greve in Chianti you can admire beautiful flowers thanks to the Flower Shows.
