In a month time it will be Christmas! Now that I’m a mother I discovered again the beauty of this time of the year and I feel thrilled about it. And the best way to wait for Christmas is to visit the several Christmas markets in Tuscany.
Christmas Markets in Florence and surroundings
At the end of the month starts the Weihnachtsmarkt in Piazza Santa Croce. The traditional German market starts on November 26th and goes on until December 20th every day from 10am to 10pm. In Piazza Santo Spirito there are special markets with arts and crafts on December 8th (Fierucola dell’Immacolata), 9th and 16th with a special Christmas market.
In Florence from November 30th to December 2nd there is the Christmas Market of the Red Cross at Obihall from 10.30 am to 7pm. Entrance costs 5 euro.
In the surroundings of Florence on Saturday and Sunday November 24th and 25th in Signa there is the Christmas market of Oberdrauburg. There you find special products from these French cities. In Pelago on Saturday and Sunday December 8th and 9th Christmas market within the trees with vin brulè and roasted chestnuts.
Christmas Markets in Mugello
In Palazzuolo sul Senio every Sunday a special market and several events wait you to discover the magic atmosphere of this lovely village in Mugello. There is live music, tastings and Santa Klaus waiting for you. The markets are on Sunday 2nd, 9th, 16th and Sunday December 8th.
In Marradi, lovely mountain village in High Mugello, there is a special Christmas market all around the streets. The market is on Sunday Sunday 2nd, 9th and 16th from 11 am all day long. In Firenzuola on Sunday December 9th there is the Winter market with local products, tastings and gift ideas for your family and friends. On November 24th and 25th in San Godenzo two days of Christmas market from 8am to 6pm.
In San Piero a Sieve on Saturday and Sunday December 8th and 9th there is the Christmas market in Piazza Colonna, while in Barberino del Mugello the appointment is on December 16th and 23rd in Piazza Buondelmonti.
Christmas Market in Chianti
In Greve in Chianti there are several markets with local products and Christmas gifts and decorations. The market is on Saturday and Sunday December 8th and 9th and 15th and 16th. In San Donato in Poggio on November 24th and 25th there is the Christmas fair.
Christmas Market in Arezzo
From December 1st to January 6th in Arezzo there is a special market with several exhibitors selling gift ideas, arts and crafts and food. The market is in Piazza Risorgimento and Piazza San Jacopo.
Christmas Market in Pisa
At Stazione Leopolda in Pisa there is Santa Klaus Factory from December 7th to 9th from 9am to 10pm, where you find a characteristic market, the thematic playground for children, and of course Santa Klaus for your wishes.
Christmas Markets in Valdelsa and Valdera
In the center of the medieval Hamlet of Barberino Val d’Elsa the Christmas market is on Saturday and Sunday December 8th and 9th and Sunday December 23rd. In Montespertoli the appointment is on December 23rd all around the center.
Christmas Markets in Pistoia and surroundings
In Serravalle Pistoiese the Christmas market is on December 8th and 9th with arts and crafts. On December 8th there is the Christmas train departing from Pistoia to the mountains to discover the villages of Piteccio, Castagno, San Mommè and Pracchia.
